Evidently anxious to make sure that his communication would be given due attention, an Auckland resident who wrote to Mr Harold Gatty, representative of Pan-American Airways in New Zealand, adopted a novel method of indicating that his letter merited reading in full by the recipient. Across the top of the envelope he had written “Not an application for a non-existent position.” The ’?tter was duly received and read in full.
