REFERENDUM TO BE TAKEN TODAY
MARKETING AND AVIATION IN AUSTRALIA (Received March 6, 12.10 a.m.) SYDNEY, March 5. A referendum will be taken throughout Australia tomorrow on alterations to the Federal Constitution to permit the Commonwealth to control the marketing of Australian produce and aviation. , . Advocates of the yes vote argue that the question is one of orderly or disorderly marketing; advocates of the no vote contend that the affirmative vote will lead to dearer food and clothes and give the Commonwealth unlimited power over every form of buying and selling.
