THE CORONATION CONTINGENT

EIGHT MORE NAMES ” ANNOUNCED (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 4. Eight names of persons chosen by ballot for the Coronation contingent to replace those who, for medical reasons, were withdrawn from the contingent, were announced tonight. Following a final medical examination there were seven rejections and, since then, another change. This one is in the permanent staff representation and has been made for medical reasons. Those who enjoyed the luck of the ballot are:— R.S.A. Representatives Mr F. J. Twiss (Wellington), accountant in the Mental Hospitals Department, who served in the Light Trench Mortar Battery. - Mr Robert Lepper (Invercargill), who served with the Ist Battalion, New Zealand Rifle Brigade, and was awarded the D.C.M. Mr E. T. Tirikatene, M.P. (Southern Maori), who went overseas with the 2nd Maori Contingent and served with the New Zealand Pioneer Battalion. Territorials Mr G. A. Parsons (Rangiora), of the Ist Battalion, Canterbury Regiment. Mr H. Blythe (Paeroa), of the Ist Battalion, Hauraki Regiment. ■ Mr H F. Davis (Auckland), of the Northern Depot Army Service Corps. Permanent Staff Staff-Sergeant-Major L. R. Stichbury, of the New Zealand Permanent Staff, Gisborne. Nursing Division Miss Maud Mitchell, A.R.R.C. (Titahi B Most of these new additions, together with the remaining members of the contingent of 50 are in Trentham Camp. The contingent sails in the RangitiKi from Wellington at 3 p.m. on March 13.
