DREAM ENDS IN LEAP THROUGH WINDOW
CHAMPION ATHLETE INJURED. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) Los Angeles, November 12. Phil Cope, co-holder of the world’s high hurdles record, leaped through a window, severely cutting his feet ana hands. His wounds required 40 stitches, but it is not thought that they will curtail his track career. Cope, dreaming of burglars, cleared the window-sill from his bed. “Thank goodness it was not the second storey,” said his wife.
