UNION’S CONFIDENCE IN GOVERNMENT
CARRYING OUT OF ELECTION PLEDGES. (United Press Association.) Auckland, October 20. After reviewing the legislation enacted by the Labour Government during its short term of office, the Auckland United Furniture Trades Industrial Union of Workers decided to write to the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) expressing the union's renewed confidence in the Government and thanks for its action in carrying out its election pledges. The Auckland Cutters’ and Pressers’ Union has also decided to write to Mr Savage extending to him and his colleagues its grateful appreciation of the legislation passed in the interests of all the workers of the Dominion, and expressing the hope that his sincere efforts might add to the welfare and happiness of thousands who had placed their confidence in his keeping.
