Cabled advice has been received by tlie New Zealand Stock Exchange Association that a circular has been issued to the shareholders of G. J. Coles and Company recommending the appointments of Sir Walter Leitch and Mr J. M. Macfarlane to the directorate at a salary of £4OO a year. The circular adds that the mutual confidence which formerly existed between the directors has now been restored and the divergent views had occurred purely on matters of policy, there being no allegation that either Mr A. W. Coles or Mr F. P. Derham were parties to any illegal or improper conduct. The circular was issued by Mr G. J. Coles, chairman of directors of G. J. Coles and Company Ltd.
