She finished working and sailed at 5 p.m. for Dunedin. The Canterbury Shipping Company's motor vessel Gale, from Wellington, berthed yesterday afternoon. She is discharging general cargo, and after loading for the north, she sails on completion to-day for Dunedin. The Sha'”, Savill and Albion motor liner Wairangi (jnished her Southland working yesterday and sailed in the afternoon for Timaru. The Bluff Harbour Board’s tug Awarua sailed last evening for Port Chalmers for inspection and painting. The Union Company's motor ship Hauraki, en route from Los Angeles, left Papeete on Friday for Rarotonga, Aitutaki, Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Australia. She is now due at Auckland on October 28 and at Wellington on November 1. The Federal Company lias received advice that the A. and A. Line steamer City of Manchester will now leave New York on December 16 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin, in place of the City of Birmingham. The Tongariro, from Liverpool, arrived at Auckland on Sunday. She will later complete discharge at Napier, Wellington. Lyttelton and Dunedin and is due at Wellington on November 4.

The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Rotorua was to leave Port Chalmers yesterday for New Plymouth to complete discharge of her Liverpool cargo and to commence her Homeward loading. The Orient liner Orion arrived at Fremantle from London on October 13. She is due at Sydney to-morrow. After landing her passengers for Australia the vessel will make an excursion cruise to New Zealand. She will leave Sydney on October 22 for Brisbane, Auckland and Wellington, being due at Auckland on October 28 and at Wellington on October 31. From Wellington she will return direct to Sydney.
