The Te Pegasus returned on Sunday night from Stewart Island with passengers. The. Union Company's intercolonial freighter Karetu arrived from Sydney yesterday morning with Australian mails and cargo. After discharging she will load for the north and sail to-day for Dunedin. H. L. Tapley and Co., advise that the Storm is to leave Wellington on Thursday for Bluff direct. She is due to arrive there oa Monday, September 28, sailing the same day for northern ports. The New Zealand Shipping Company has received cabled advice that the motor liner Rangitiki left London for New Zealand last Thursday. The liner is due at Wellington on October 21. She will land passengers only at that port, and will discharge her cargo at Lyttelton and Port Chalmers. Cabled advice received by the Federal Company states that the steamer Huntingdon, which sailed from Wellington on August 10 for Great Britain, via Cape Hom, and cleared Montevideo on August 30, left Dakar last Sunday. A notice in the Gazette draws the attention of mariners to the operation of summer time from 2 a.m. New Zealand mean time, on Sunday September 27, when clocks should be advanced 30 minutes.

The Huddart, Parker motor ship Wanganella left Sydney on Saturday for Wellington. She is due there to-morrow and will sail on Thursday on her return passage to Sydney. The Federal Company has had cabled advice that the steamer Northumberland, which left Auckland on August 24 for Great Britain, cleared Colon last Tuesday afternoon. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE.
