Otara PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
The annual meeting and social of the Waikawa-Tokanui mission charge of the Presbyterian Church was held in the church at Tokanui. The moderator, the Rev. Mr Carmichael, of Fortrose, spoke. The annual report stated that it was pleasing to note the general improvement shown in the finances of the charge. Though there was still a deficit, it had imprcved by over £3O. Mr Carmichael in speaking to the report, stated that he would like to see an increased membership in the parish. A short programme was contributed by Mr Carmichael, Mrs Mason, Miss Howell, Mrs Thompson, Mrs Yates and Messrs D. Earwaker and T. Thompson. The accompanists were Miss Earwaker and Mrs R. Shaw.
