Mr A. H. Mitchell left for Christchurch, en route to Wellington, by the express last evening. Mr J. H. Reed left by the express last evening to attend a technical college conference in Wellington. Mr W. J. Wilson has been re-elected chairman of directors of the Oteramika Co-operative Dairy Factory Co., Ltd. Mr J. Hargest, M.P., returned to Wellington by the express last evening. He leaves Wellington for Auckland xn the middle of the week to take part in the Manukau by-election.

Mr W. W. Bridgman, of Dunedin, holder of a Carnegie Fellowship at the Institute of Education, London, has qualified for the teacher’s diploma of the University of London. At a recent meeting of the directoxs of the Waikaka Co-operative Dairy Factory Company, Mr A. S. Tait, first assistant of the Gorge Road factory, was appointed manager. He has now begun his new duties.
