WRITTEN TENDERS to close at the office of the General Manager, Railways, Featherston street, Wellington, at noon on Wednesday, 30th September, 1936, are invited for the supply of horses and driver for shunting at Bluff railway station and wharves for a period of one year from 28th October, 1936. Tenders to be marked on outside “'Tender for horse shunting contract, Bluff.” Conditions of conti act and tender forms may be obtained from the Stationmaster at Bluff and at the office of the District Traffic Manager, Invercargill. Telegraphic tenders will not be entertained and no tender will necessarily be accepted. 4210 NEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS. LAUNDRY WORK FOR RAILWAY DEPARTMENT—SOUTH ISLAND. WRITTEN TENDERS marked on outside “Tender for Laundry Work” will be received by the General Manager, Railways, Wellington, up to 12 noon on Friday, 25th September, 1936, for the performance of laundry work for the South Island Main Line and Branches for a period of one year commencing on Ist October, 1936. Conditions of contract and tender form may be obtained from the District Traffic Manager at Christchurch, Dunedin or Invercargill and Stationmaster Timaru. Telegraphic tenders will not be entertained and no tender will necessarily be accepted. 4210

WRITTEN TENDERS for the above works will be received at the Office of the Southland County Council, Invercargill, until 12 noon on Thursday, the 24th September, 1936. They must be addressed to the Chairman, and marked outside “Tender for Contract No. (and name of work).”

Specifications and drawings can be seen at this office. Also for No. 981 at Messrs Asher Bros., Pukerau; for No. 1024 at Post Office, Gorge Road; for No. 1026, 1027 at Messrs Mac Gibbon & Co., Ltd., Gore.

Tenders must be in accordance with contract schedule and must be accompanied by deposit. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
