COMPULSORY TRAINING TO BE INTRODUCED
INTERESTS OF NATIONAL DEFENCE

(Rec. 9.5 p.m.) Paris, September 18. “In the interests of national defence” the Government will shortly introduce a Bill making physical training compulsory for all young Frenchmen attending schools, under a system graduated according to ages. The latter portion of the training will be under Army instructors.
