Victor Trumper, son of “the incomparable Victor,” who showed distinct promise as a fast bowler when playing for Manly’s first team last year, has blossomed forth as a wielder of the tennis racket. He recently won the singles in the Rural Bank’s annual tournament and went on to annex the doubles. Victor proved quite a “demon” with the new ball in grade cricket and won his way into an Association side towards the end of last season. He was unfortunate enough to injure his shoulder when bowling in the match. He hopes to be firing on all cylinders for the coming season.
