The colour of this gown and scarf, of novelty, heavy falling crepe, is the strong, luminous yellow of dry musterd powder, and is called “Jaune de Chine.” The designer, who shows high neck and long sleeves on dinner gowns, cuts her formal evening clothes contrastingly low, and shapes the front of the bodice by tightly draped gathers. Long, matching fringes fall from the shoulder scarf; and at the base of either shoulder strap is a big clip of sapphires and diamonds.
