THE TAXI-CAB BUSINESS
Inquiry To Begin On
Monday

Wellington, September 18. Referring to the inquiry to be held into the taxi-cab and town carrying business, the chairman of the committee (Mr P. M. Butler) said that the investigation would open at Wellington on Monday morning, and all evidence would be taken under oath. The committee proposed hearing the taxi-cab problem first, and would begin the inquiry into the town carrying business on Thursday. . The committee will sit also at Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill, Timaru, Palmerston North, Wanganui, New Plymouth, Hamilton, Auckland, Whangarei, Rotorua, Gisborne, NapierHastings, and Masterton. Mr A. L. Lynskey is secretary, and all inquiries should be directed to him at the Transport Department, Wellington.
