She discharged and loaded general cargo and completed and sailed last night for Dunedin. The Union Company’s coastal steamer Waipiata reached Bluff from Dunedin early yesterday morning. She is working general cargo and is due to finish to-day and sail on her return to the north via Dunedin. The work of discharging and loading the Federal liner Hertford was begun yesterday morning and will be continued over the next few days. She is expected to complete and sail early in the coming week for Lyttelton. The Federal Company has received advice that tlie O.S.K. Line direct service from Japan to New Zealand and back is to be resumed next month after a brief interruption owing to the uncertain trade position between Japan and Australia. The first sailing will be from Japan on October 2, reaching Auckland on October 23, and returning from Auckland, after calling at Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Wellington, on November 6. The vessels on the return voyage to Japan will call at Cebu. Manila, Hong Kong and Shanghai, and the ships used in the service will be the Sydney Maru, Brisbane Maru and Melbourne Maru. The M.-A.-N.Z. Line steamer Canadian Scottish was to have left Auckland on Wednesday night for Wellington to continue discharging her Montreal cargo. She is due there to-day. and will leave again next Tuesday for Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete. Cabled advice has been received that the Huddart, Parker motor liner Wanganella. from Auckland, reached Sydney on Tuesday morning. She is to leave _ there again to-morrow for Wellington and is due there on September 23. The C.-A. motor liner Aorangi, en route from Vancouver, was to leave Honolulu on Wednesday for Suva and Auckland. She is due at Auckland on September 27 and will leave again the following day for Sydney. The Shaw, Savill motor ship Zealandic is now scheduled to clear Auckland finally today for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool and Glasgow, via Cape Horn and Las Palmas. The Montreal-Australia-New Zealand Line steamer Canadian Leader has been sold to Greek buyers for £15,500. The Union Steam Ship Company has received advice from Wellington that the Remuera, which left Newport, Wales, on August 18 is expected to arrive at Auckland at daylight on September 24. OMANA FOR BLUFF. The Union Steam Ship Company advises that the Omana loads at Adelaide and Edithburg in the first half of October for Biuff, where she is due on October 15.
