Otahuti EUCHRE TOURNAMENT
At the fortnightly euchre tournament over 40 players took part The first prizes were won by Mr N. Garden and Miss N. Forde. Consolation prizes were won by Miss L. Saunders and Murray Anderson. Music for dancing was supplied by Mr J. Kerr (accordion) and Mr T. McKenzie (recordings). Those present included: Mr and Mrs T. Anderson, Mr and Mrs Carter (Wrights Bush), Mr and Mrs N. Garden, Mr and Mrs J. McKenzie; Mesdames Donald, Johnston and McCullough (Spar Bush); Misses C. Beggs, M. Robertson, Cowan (3), Ridder (2), M. Thomson, L. Saunders (Spar Bush), R. Blackie, A. Mclntosh, P. Anderson (Wrights Bush), N. and D. Forde (Isla Bank); Messrs R. Donald, J. Beggs, J. Moir (Dacre), R. Shields, S. Driver, Kirker (3), Wakefield, G. O’Meara, W. Ford, J. Kerr, T. and K. McKenzie, Anderson (2), B. Perriam, A. Donald, Forde (2), Turner (2), H. Cowan, T. McKenzie and Pringle (Spar Bush).
