YOUNG FARMERS’ WEEK.
To the Editor.
Sir, —As representatives of the eightyfour young fellows who have attended the fourth annual young farmers’ educational week, we would like to take this opportunity of expressing our appreciation of the great kindness shown to us during the week by those people who have given up time to address us and to show us over factories and other organizations. We can assure them that we have greatly appreciated all that has been done for us.
We have already expressed our thanks to Messrs A. C. Cameron and E. W. S. Thomas for organizing the week and for all they have done to make it the great success it has proved to be. We take this opportunity of thanking the Southland Executive of the Farmers’ Union, the Women’s Division, and the Otago Farmers’ Union Mutual Fire Insurance Association, for the part they have played in making the whole undertaking possible. The week just spent will ever remain a very pleasant memory to us all. We have learnt many things and not the least has been a greater appreciation of the lot of the other fellow.
On behalf of the young farmers attending the course, R. Hazlett (Lumsden) R. M. Paterson (Wendonside) L. F. Pearce (Otahu) Gordon S. Andrews (Pine Bush) E. Gardyne (Waikaka) A. J. N. Campbell (Woodlands) I. J. C. Robertson (Waikiwi) J. L. Norman (Winton)
