Two important orders recently received by the B.S.A. company are for their 5.95 side-valve model motor cycle. The Egyptian Government has ordered twelve of these machines with side-cars, and the High Commissioner for Southern Rhodesia has placed an order for fourteen solo machines for the Rhodesian Defence Force.
The authorities in Tokyo are appalled that the statistics for the past six months reveal a total of 14,600 motor car accidents. Taxis are declared to be mainly responsible, and a maximum speed for them has been levied as a preventive measure. There is a proposal in Sweden to build a complete system of bridges and ferries which will connect Sweden with both Denmark and Finland, using islands which lie between these countries. There is even a project to build a bridge over the Sound between Sweden and Denmark.
