MELBOURNE POLICE INQUIRY
PLEA ON BEHALF OF BROPHY (United Press Assn. —Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Melbourne, July 23. A recommendation that no further action be taken against Superintendent John O’Connell Brophy or the other police officers concerned in the recent inquiry by Judge Macindoe has been made to the Chief Secretary by the acting-Police Commissioner (Mr Mooney).
