YOUNG FARMERS’ CLUBS
' HELP FROM DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE. (United Press Association.) Masterton, June 12. An offer by the Department of Agriculture to place its full resources at the disposal of the Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs was made to-day by the Minister of Agriculture (the Hon. W. Lee Martin) when addressing members of the Young Farmers’ Clubs in camp at Solway. Stating that he realized the importance of the movement, Mr Martin said that the Department was prepared to make available the services of one of its officers as a full-time secretary to the federation, and in addition, officers of the Fields Division could be co-opted as local secretaries and organizers. The Minister edded that he trusted that as a result of the offer, with the co-operation of the committees, the movement would develop right through New Zealand.
