IRON ORE DEPOSITS
DEVELOPMENT IN NORTH-WEST AUSTRALIA. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 11.10 p.m.) Sydney, June 12. Negotiations are well under way to develop iron ore deposits at Yampi Sound, North-West Australia, leases having been acquired by H. A. Brassert and Company, Limited, a British company of consulting engineers, whose representative, Mr T. V. Salt, arrived in Sydney on the liner Mooltan en route to Japan. He estimated that the output would be more than 500,000 tons of iron ore a year. The main buyer would be Japan. Mr Salt said his company was dealing with very responsible and important interests in that country. Employment would be given to a large number of Australians. The venture had the approval and cooperation of the Commonwealth and West Australian Governments,
