The embargo against Italy has re - sulted in an advantage to English cheesemakers. As a result of the sanctions against Italy there has been a shortage of Gorgonzola cheese. This was taken immediate advantage of. Cheesemakers in Derbyshire set about the making of a substitute, and they made an excellent type of Gorgonzola, which they have named “Derbyzola.” This is the first time that a “quick blue cheese has been produced on ? com mercial scale in Great Britain.
