TAXI-DRIVERS HELD UP
WAVE OF CRIME IN SYDNEY. (United Press Assn.— Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 11.20 p.m.) Sydney, May 24. There has been an epidemic of holdups of taxi-drivers in Sydney in recent months. The position is so menacing that drivers are seeking permission to carry firearms. . , Two more were robbed last night by armed men, who commandeered their cars and compelled the drivers to ride in the rear seat to lonely parts, where they were relieved of their money. The police to-night arrested two men suspected of this class of crime.
