FIGHTING AMONG NATIVES

DISPUTE ON TAVUA GOLDFIELDS. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Suva, February 11. Serious fighting broke out on Sunday evening between the natives of two provinces employed on the Tavua goldfields and continued until yesterday morning. Fifteen were injured and seven were sent to hospital. The situation is now controlled by the District Commissioner and the police. More police have been despatched from Suva. The dispute was caused through domestic trouble and no Europeans are involved.
