TUATAPERE NOTES

SHOW BALL, (From Our Correspondent) The Waiau A. and P. Association completed a successful fixture with a ball in Lawson’s Hall. Novelty dances were won by Mr and Mrs A. D. McClymofit and Miss Howell and Mr R. Pickering. Music was supplied by the Regent Orchestra, Nightcaps, and extras were played by Miss Brick and Mr S. Murdock. The duties, of M.C. were carried out by Mr T. O’Brien, Personal. • Mr and Mrs A. S. Bennett, Perth, Western Australia, who are touring New Zealand, are the guests of Mr and Mrs J. J. Bennett. Papatotara, during their stay in Southland. Mr and Mrs W. Stancombe left by the Marama from Bluff for a visit to Melbourne. Miss Ivy McDonald is spending her holidays on a camping tour of the Lakes.
