MAGISTRATE’S COURT

TUESDAY. (Before Messrs J. Ward and A. L. Adamson, Justices of the Peace.) Arthur Daniel Kitson, a fisherman, pleaded guilty to using obscene language in Conon street on Monday night. Sergeant J. Abel, who prosecuted, said that the accused had had trouble in his house and bad language was used in the hearing of passers-by. The police were sent for and the accused was arrested. Mr Gordon Reed, who appeared for Kitson, pleaded that the accused had had drink at Bluff and came home “fighting drunk.” Drink was the cause of the trouble. Upon accused undertaking to take out a prohibition order against himself, he was convicted and discharged.
