FIRST PRIZE WINNER SINGLE YOUNG MAN. (Per United Press Association.) Whakatane, December 20. The winner of the “Good Fortune Art Union” number 86954, “Happy,” Whakatane, is Mr Stanley Wright, aged 24. single, employed at the Farmers’ Trading store, Whakatane. He came to Whakatane from Hastings 14 years ago with his parents, who are farming here. He was educated at the Whakatane High School and worked for some years with the Price Merchandise Company. An industrious young man, he plays tennis and is a member of the Whakatane Rowing Club and Life-Saving Club. When asked what he was going to do with the money, he replied he was going to place it in the bank.
