Letter to Kitty
Dear Kit, Just a short note to-day because I know you’re busy and so am I. It was good to get your letter and to know that your Christmas shopping is almost finished, mine is top, and now we can both sit back and enjoy the sunshine and the visits of our friends and relations. With regard to these visits there arc sure to be many of them in the course of the next week so be prepared, for many of them will be unexpected. Haye your larder well stocked and you will have no cause for worry when there are extra for meals or- afternoon tea. So you go out of my life at the end of next week for three weeks in Otago Central. How I envy you—instead of writing to you I’ll imagine you baking in the sun with a minimum of clothes on an a maximum of nothing to do. A Merry Christmas to you and yours, and a very good holiday. Let me know when you come back. Love, JANE.
