TOKANUI SPORTS
FIXTURE NEXT WEEK. Arrangements for the annual sports at Tokanui on December 27 are well advanced. The tender for the supply of logs has been let to Mr Walter J. Lee, of Tokanui. Mr Lee, an experienced bushman and a great sporting enthusiast, will certainly do his best for the axemen. The society has had some misfortunes in past years, but the time is coming when Tokanui will be well established and its annual fixture will be one of the drawcards in Southland. The committee is working energetically and only a fine day is needed to ensure complete success. Competitors are reminded about their nominations.
