NEW HEADMASTER
WANGANUI COLLEGIATE SCHOOL. ARRIVAL FROM ENGLAND. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, December 17. The new headmaster of the Wanganui Collegiate School (Mr F. W. Gilligan) and his wife and three children arrived by the Rangitane from London to-night. Mr Gilligan said he had already heard a great deal about New Zealand from collegiate old boys and from his brother (Mr Harold Gilligan), who captained the M.C.C. team on its 1931-32 tour of the Dominion. He preferred not to discuss education and his plans for the school until he had first learned something of education and its aspirations in New Zealand. Mr Gilligan mentioned having seen the recent match between the All Blacks and Oxford, which he described as most exciting and the best Rugby match he had ever seen.
