HANDSOME NEW TEA ROOMS. When in January of this year the Lumsden railway station went up in smoke Mr A. McAlister's tea rooms suffered total destruction as well. But to-day there has arisen, if not on the ashes of the old building, at any rate not far removed from the station, a shop and tea rooms which not only reflect the enterprise of Mr McAlister, but which are a credit to Lumsden. The contractors have made a most efficient and artistic job of the building, the inside of which is as attractive as the outside. Every use has been made of modern inventions to make the fittings and shop equipment tasteful and labour-saving. To step inside either the shop or the tea rooms is to realize that cities contain nothing better than this charming country rendezvous for tourists and travellers. Cigarettes, tobacco, toys, books, confectionary, ice creams and fruit arc obtainable, a frigidaire keeping goods cool and fresh. The tea rooms are most restful and as pleasing to the eye as the food served is pleasing to the palate.
