PUBLIC WORKS MINISTER. . BIG JOB TO BE DONE. (Per United Press Association.) Hastings, December 16. The days in the future of the Minister of Public Works, said the Hon. R. Semple in Napier this morning, would be days of action, and not days of talking. The new Government intended to use its mandate to the full, Mr Semple said. His department was a very important one in that it was one of the State’s building departments. He was satisfied there was much build- • ing to be done. “We have got to step on it and start progressing again,” he said. “All that is possible to be done will be done, but I want to look at everything on my calendar before I make any decisions. We want to be sure the job should be done and when done it will be of some service to the nation. When we make up our minds something must be done then it has got to be done.
