OTAUTAU SALEYARDS COMPANY. ANNUAL REPORT. (From Our Correspondent.) Following is the thirty-eighth annual report of directors to be submitted at the meeting of shareholders on Friday evening.— As forecasted last year good yardings have been maintained throughout the season, it being the largest for many years. Yard dues amounting to £269 2/1 have been received for stock put through the yards, the total head handled being 74,827. The sale of sundries was also well maintained. Every effort was made by the directors to give all necessary assistance and accommodation at the larger sales, resulting in all sales being completed in good time and to the satisfaction of the buyer and vendor alike. The ..repair account is low, due to the necessity for

economy for this year, but provision has been made to have all necessary repair work brought up to a good standard during the coming season. The directors recommend the advisability of employing an extra man during the March, April and May sales to assist with the yarding and help with the provision of extra pens for these sales. Tire necessity of holding weekly instead of fortnightly sales during the busy season is also under consideration, and will come up for discussion at the annual meeting. The directors recommend a dividend of 10 per cent. Shareholders will require to elect two directors, those retiring being Messrs G. A. Burnett and A. A. Fisher, who are eligible and offer themselves for re-election. The auditor, Mr John Fisher, also retires but is eligible for reappointment.
