TRAGIC DEATH

BODY NEAR RAILWAY LINE. (United Press Assn. —Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 8.20 p.m.) Sydney, November 4. Mystery surrounds the tragic death of Mr M. Henwood, State Conciliation Commissioner, aged 65, who body was found alongside the railway line near Faulcon bridge, 51 miles west of Sydney. One side of Mr Henwood’s head was shockingly injured. His vest pockets were turned inside out. A gold watch and chain were untouched, but his hat and baggage were missing. Detectives have not the slightest information as to how Mr Heriwood met his death, but admit the possibility that he became ill and fell from i the overnight train from Bathurst on) which he was a passenger. > POLICE SUSPECT MURDER. The police are now convinced that Mr Henwood was murdered as bloodstains were discovered in the carriage he occupied, also evidence that he was dragged twenty yards alongside the railway track. They are trying to locate a young man aged about 25 who joined the same train at Bathurst and, it is believed, travelled in company with Mr Henwood.
