DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB. (From Our Correspondent.) The initial shoot for the season of the Mataura Defence Rifle Club was conducted on the range on Labour Day. Bright sunshine prevailed, while a tricky wind made shooting conditions somewhat difficult. The day was given to a match against representatives of the Mataura Miniature Rifle Club and a club shoot over three ranges. The results are as follows: — Miniature Rifle Club.—J. Richardson 38, W.
