BATES.—At Riverton, on Wednesday, August 14, 1935, Charles Bates (South African war veteran), beloved husband of Emily Bates, of Merrivale and Colac Bay; aged 78 years. The funeral will leave the Presbyterian Church, Riverton, on Saturday, 17th inst., at 1.30 p.m. for the Otautau new Cemetery, arriving there at 2.30 p.m. Friends please accept this (the only) intimation.—W.
