COMING SESSION
PLANS WELL FORWARD. AMENDING BILLS. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington. August 13. The acting-Prime Minister (the Hon. Sir Alfred Ransom) stated to-day that plans for the session opening on August 29 were well forward. There would be a number of bills with the object of amending existing legislation. He did not anticipate any difficulty would be experienced in securing their passage through the House. In the event. of the Address-in-Reply debate collapsing unexpectedly the Government would be prepared to go right ahead with its legislative programme.
