NEW BUILDING
GOVERNMENT LIFE INSURANCE DEPARTMENT.
FIRST CONTRACT LET.

Wellington, August 12.
It was announced to-day that the contract for the fabrication and erection of the steel framework of the new Government Life Insurance Building at Wellington had been let to Messrs William Cable and Company, of Wellington. The total quantity of steel involved is nearly 3000 tons and -he value of the contract to Yorkshire manufacturers is approximately £35,000.
