There is apparently a promising revival in the trade in ostrich feathers. So much just dislike attaches to the use of a bird’s plumage for adornment that it is well to say that no cruelty belongs to this particular trade, which is why ostrich feathers were specially exempted by the British Parliament from the operation of the Plumage Act.
