BRITISH POLICE
REVIEW BY THE KING UNIQUE CEREMONY IN HYDE PARK WET WEATHER (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 6.30 p.m.) London, July 20. For .the final Jubilee review 10,000 policemen from all'parts of Britain were drawn up in Hyde Park in two lines flanked by mounted police and mechanized squads. The review was unique, as a Sovereign had not previously inspected the police. Despite showers their Majesties drove in an open landau along the bluecoated lines, among which were plaincloth :d Scotland Yard police headed by chiefs wearing top hats and morning coats. Their Majesties were received with a Royal salute, the parade standing to attention while the band played the National Anthem. The Commissioner, Lord Trenchard, led three cheers for the King, after which their Majesties drove along the lines and received a great ovation from a quarter of a million spectators. The weather misbehaved for the first time in the Jubilee celebrations when showers during the march past forced their Majesties to retire to the shelter of the Royal pavilion. Pipers played Scottish police past. Only Ulster was not represented, the riots necessitating all remaining on duty.
