SOUTHLAND GROCERS
ANNUAL MEETING. The twenty-seventh annual meeting of the Southland Grocers’ Industrial Union of Employers was held last week, there being a fair number of members of the trade present. The following were elected as an executive for the ensuing year: President, Mr George McKenzie; first vicepresident, Mr E. G. Preddy; second vice-president, Mr John Fraser; committee, Messrs W. H. Berry, S. A. Faircloth, A. Fyffe, R. Hall and N. C. Poole; country members, Messrs L. Glass, L. Grimwood. R. Kirkland, J. A. Martin, C. J. Nicholas and J. S. Robertson.
A general discussion concerning matters affecting the trade followed.
