PICTURE TRAILERS.

To the Editor.

Sir, —As a fairly regular attendee at our local picture entertainments, I have felt for some time that patrons have a genuine grievance in regard to the advertising of forthcoming shows during the screening of programmes. Surely, Sir, there is ample opportunity during the interval or previous to the start of pictures for this cheap publicity and, seeing we pay to see the advertised programme, why inflict us with this? We get it all in your advertising columns and long reviews each week. One local theatre recently screened no less than three forthcoming shows.—l am, etc. FAIR DEAL. [The local theatres follow the practice that is virtually universal. No objections have been raised before.— Ed. S.T.]
