South Africa in the first innings against Durham made 231. Durham, who were dismissed for 45 in the first innings, made 141 in the second (Langton seven for 38).
South Africa won by an innings and 45 runs.

The Players, in the first innings against the Gentlemen, lost nine for 251 and declared (Barber 61; Read four for 57). The Gentlemen in the second innings have lost two for 27.
