Southland Women’s Club
PLAY-READING CIRCLE. Last evening members of the PlayReading Circle of the Southland Women’s Circle travelled to Gore when they presented “Clive of India,” by W. P. Lipscombe and R. J. Minney, to members of the Gore Women’s Club. The cast was as follows: Clive, Mrs R. S. Mclnnes; Margaret, Mrs A. M. Macdonald; Edmund, Mrs Ritchie Crawford; Stringer and Lady Linley, Mrs J. R. Sutton; Sergeant Clark, Mrs Clifford and Vincent, Mrs J. N. Armour; Johnson, Miller; Omichand, Butler, George and Kynaston Frith, Miss M. Thomson, Govenor and Mrs Nixon, Mrs T. F. Gilkison; Pemberton, Admiral Watson, Wedderburn and Lord Dalmayne, Mrs J. G. Macdonald; Jafi’ar, Captain George and Chatham, Mrs C. E. Watts; Kent, Betty, Lady Stanley and George, Miss McLeod; Ayah and Chorus, Mrs L. B. Hutton.
