“F.N.R.”—COMMUNISM AND ANTIFASCIST ACTIVITIES.

To the Editor. Sir, —Having laboured through the wordy but, • not to say the least of it, very instructive letter of “F.N.R.,” 1 feel compelled to write a few lines in the hope that this unconscious humorist and disciple of Major Douglas may be persuaded to treat your readers to a little more of his belaboured gratuitous humour. The very fact that this verbose correspondent is willing to believe anything about Russia and the liquidation of millions of its people, without in" any way demanding the right of the Russians or anyone having a knowledge of that country to have the right of reply, but will not believe that the German Nazis would be capable of illtreating their prisoners is indeed incongruous in the mind of a Douglas social credit system advocate. It might interest some of your readers, but I know will not educate “F.N.R.,” to know that of the eighteen who were tried for the murder of Kirov in the U.S.S.R. recently, not one of them paid the penalty with his life although they all pleaded guilty to being members of the Zinoviev group that was responsible for his death. The longest sentence inflicted on any of them was ten years and in most cases the sentence was three years. If “F.N.R.,” instead of rushing blindly into print on matters of which he is absolutely ignorant would devote the time he thufe wastes in reading the English papers of 1933 when Hitler took office he would not doubt the word of Kisch (or anyone else for that matter) in describing the Nazis’ atrocity, for no brain, however, fertile could imagine worse horrors than were inflicted at the dictate of Hitler, Goering and Co. I will not impose further at present, Mr Editor, on your valuable space, but if “F.N.R.” will pull his head out of the smoke screen of the Douglas system and will face the real issues in the world to-day, he, like I, will find his time too valuable to waste writing forty-second rate journalistic letters.— I am, etc., N.N.H.
