TO HELP INDIA
HOCKEY ASSOCIATION’S THANKS.
To the Editor.
Sir—On behalf of the Southland Men’s Hockey Association, I have to express our sincere thanks to the public of Invercargill, who, at the match on Saturday afternoon, so generously responded to the appeal in aid of the Indian Earthquake Relief Fund. The amount collected, £35 10/-, which has been forwarded to the Red Cross Society of New Zealand, at whose request the collection was made, cannot but reflect credit on those people who, we realize, have so many demands made on them in these times.—l am, etc., G. D. ANDERSON, Hon. Secretary.
