QUEEN DRIVES TO WINDSOR. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 6.30 p.m.) London, June 15.' Despite heavy showers, crowds assembled to see the Queen, accompanied by the Duke of Gloucester, drive to Windsor where the Queen will reside during Ascot week. The villagers made a brave display of decorations. Her Majesty had a special welcome at Eton and was presented with a gold snuffbox. The Earl of Harewood and Prince Arthur, both old Etonians, joined the masters in greeting her. The Prince of Wales and the High Steward of Windsor waited with the Mayor and Corporation at Windsor Castle. The royal servants cheered her arrival. The programme will be carried out in full in accordance with the King’s wishes as if he had been present.
