LYTTELTON SEAT
LABOUR PARTY CANDIDATE.
SELECTION NOT YET MADE. 1
(Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, June 14. The Labour Party candidate for the Lyttelton by-election has not yet been chosen, but there is ground for belief that Mr T. H. McCombs, only son of Mrs McCombs, will be chosen.
The selection will be made by the National executive of the Labour Party at Wellington on Monday. It is said that Mr McCombs has such heavy support in the electorate that it will be difficult for the executive to prefer any other candidate. Two others believed to be in the running for nomination are the Rev. J. K. Archer and Mr J. Matheson.
