REGARDING THE RESERVING OF BOOKS.

To the Editor. Sir,—We’re a long suffering public. The council invites us to join their library, tells us we will have the privilege of reserving books and while our subscription is still in force withdraws this privilege. In private business this would be the equivalent of delivering nineteen cwt for a promised ton. Unfortunately it doesn’t carry the same penalty. , Let’s hope the next meeting of the council will decide that all trusting but disappointed subscribers may apply for a refund of the balance of their subscription should they not care to carry on under the new regulation.—l am. CtC ’ DISAPPOINTED.
